HPLC technology is used to determine Hemoglobin species (HbA, HbF, HbS, HbE, HbA2, adn HbH) and globin species (Alpha, Beta, and Gamma globin) as well as Heme released from hemoglobin both as bound and unbound heme.
Hemoglobin and globin assessment are two different HPLC techniques. Only small amounts of blood (<10 µl) are required for each assay, which makes it applicable for a finger prick of blood or limited amounts of cell culture hematopoietic stem cells. Please contact us regarding the choice of assay as well as shipping requirements.
In specific cases we apply fowcytometry to define hemoglobin species in individal cells with flowcytometry.
